Romania's only washed-rind cheese, produced exclusively in the village of Năsal (now Nașfalău) in Transylvania. Aged in natural caves where unique bacterium Brevibacterium linens develops on the rind, giving it a powerful aroma. Sometimes called the Romanian Limburger.
